A Must-Watch Video On The Buran Ghati Trek

In this post, I’m sharing a video about Buran Ghati with you. Those who have seen an early cut of the video think it is the best video on the Indiahikes channel.

Grudgingly, I agree with them.

Firstly, because it celebrates a trek like it must truly be celebrated. It dives deep into the trek, talks about small nuances that many tend to miss out on, and brings them to life. At Indiahikes, this is how we talk about treks — if you ever drop in at our lunch time conversations — you’ll see us diving deep into each day, each hour of the trek.

Secondly because my colleagues have done such a wonderful job executing this video, what with drone footage, terrific photography and crisp editing!

So without further ado, here is our latest Buran Ghati video.

Why must you watch it?

Rarely do words, pictures and videos do justice to a trek. This video comes close.

The video features our founders, our trek Coordinators and the explorers of the trek — all of whom have done several Himalayan treks. They know treks. So when I see them fall in love with Buran Ghati, it’s deeply compelling!

Through their experience, they take you through the trek, right from the postcard village of Janglik, to the lush meadows of Dayara, the alpine zone of Dhunda, across the Buran Pass and to the beautiful people of Barua.I won’t be surprised if you’re left with goosebumps at the end of the video.

This video also features some fantastic drone shots taken by our trekker Anurag Singh. Wait for the very laaast shot in the video, it’s my favourite one!

I’m personally extremely jealous because I haven’t been to Buran Ghati yet. But after watching and re-watching this video multiple times during the edits, this is where I want to go this summer!

I would strongly recommend this video. If you miss it, you’re missing a slice of mountain life.
