Compton Acres Gardens : A Wonderful Visit
Well, I don't know what the weather has been like where you live … but here in the UK we have enjoyed some nice sunny May days. Eddie and I decided to take advantage of this and recently visited Compton Acres Gardens which is in the County of Dorset in the South of England. They are privately owned gardens originally created in the 1920's by Thomas William Simpson, and are regarded as one of the most outstanding constructed in Britain during that period. We spent several hours there, pure delight at every turn, This post will be one of a small series because we just found it breathtakingly gorgeous. Hope you enjoy this first part …
The Rock and Water Gardens
The Japanese Garden
The Grand Italian Garden
Part of the Grand Italian Garden
I like these words ...
The kiss of the sun for pardon
The song of the birds for mirth
One is nearer Gods heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth
The kiss of the sun for pardon
The song of the birds for mirth
One is nearer Gods heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth
All the best Jan
