Cheesy Cake Bars / Biscuits --- LCHF : Keto

This is a recipe idea I first saw on Ewelina's blog and thought it a great idea. She calls them Cheese Biscuits but they are quite spongy on the inside - similar to a muffin - so perhaps I'd call them 'Cheesy Cake Bars'. They are quite high in fat so if you eat one or two (maximum) they are very satiating and you will feel full for hours ...

There is also another benefit, bake a big batch and they can make a super fast breakfast on the go. You grab one from the fridge and enjoy with your morning cup of tea or coffee … and they taste nice eaten warm or cold.

Ingredients:
150g/5 ounces ground almond
100g/3.5 ounces cream cheese
50g/2ounces cheddar cheese, grated
50g/2ounces butter, melted
1 egg
1 heaped tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda

Nutritional values:
1 Biscuit
Carbs 1.2g

I wonder will you prefer yours with tea or coffee?

A variety of recipe ideas and articles are within this blog, but not all may be suitable for you. If you may have any food allergies, or underlying health issues these must always be taken into account. If you are a diabetic and not sure how certain foods may affect your blood sugars, test is best, i.e. use your meter.

All the best Jan
